Horizontal vibration of a rigid disc in transversely isotropic hi-materials full-space

In this study, horizontal vibration of a rigid disc embedded in transversely isotropic hi-materials full­space is presented.Using fundamental Green's functions, Hankel integral transform in the radial direction and Fourier series, the problem will transform to a system with four separate integral equations which in turn, are reduced to a pair of Fredholm equations of the second kind. Under dynamic excitation, the related compliance functions are numerically evaluated.The results are analytically and numerically match the results for isotropic material obtained from existing methods in the literature.
