چکیده مقاله:

A facile and simple protocol for Ullmann-type N-arylation of nucleobases with aryl halides is described using doped nano-sized Cu2O on melamine-formaldehyde resin (nano Cu2O-MFR) as a highly efficient heterogeneous nano catalyst. In this method, treatment of various nucleobases and aryl halides in the presence of DBU and nano Cu2O-MFR in refluxing DMF furnishes the corresponding N-aryl adducts in reasonable to good yields. The nano Cu2O-MFR was fully characterized by different microscopic, spectroscopic and physical techniques. The nano Cu2O-MFR was proved to be a chemically and thermally stable, cheap and environmental compatible heterogeneous nano catalyst that can be reused for many consecutive experiments without the considerable decrease in its reactivity.
