چکیده مقاله:

The main purpose of this paper is to introduce and summarize recently papers published on cement industry and associate environmental concerns. Cement industry is one of the pollutioning industries, in particular as a major subject as far as greenhouse gases concerns. In recent years, scientists and manufacturers have tried to develop new methods and technologies in this industry to reduce effects on environments, both within the plant or neighboring manned or unmanned areas, however this paper has tried to concentrate mostly on effects in Man, as the effects on unmanned aspects should be finally translated to effects on man. Scientists and producers of cement for many years are engaged with medical-occupational studies of workers in this industry. It is mainly investigating the relationship with dust exposure and disease symptoms. There is also risk of exposure to lead, Mercury, Dioxins and other toxic metals/gases as part of cement components or outlet gases, as well as wastes in factories of cement plants. There are lot of papers have tried to study and investigate on this matter, some have concentrated on one special subject and some have generally reviewed most of the effects. This paper has tried to collect all this information from various papers and are all properly cited both within the text and introduced at the end of paper in reference section. The author is hopeful that the readers of the paper can increase their knowledge on this specific subject and can extract positive ideas for improving environmental cement industry in any location in the world.
