چکیده مقاله:

According to the variety of display devices many methods proposed for content aware image retargeting. These methods need energy function to identify pixel importance. The several of energy function is proposed in retargeting fields. Some of these are fast but cannot detect pixels importance efficiency and using them in Retargeting approach causes artifact after retargeting. In the other hand, some approaches find important region well but their computational time is high. In this paper, we propose a new energy function based on quad tree concept. In our method, each pixel has a value indicating its importance based on block size that belongs to it. We show that this energy function is efficient for retargeting application while its speed is much better than similar works.
