چکیده مقاله:

Rod-like hydroxyapatite (Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2, HAp) was synthesized under hydrothermal condition and in the presence of polyethylenglycol (PEG 200) as non-ionic surfactant and cetyltrimethylammoniumbromide (CTAB) as cationic surfactant. Effect of surfactants and hydrothermal conditions on the morphology and size of hydroxyapatite nanoparticles were studied. The composition of synthesized powder was characterized using X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy techniques and scanning electron microscopy was employed to study the morphology and size of resulting particles. The obtained results showed that particles had rod-like morphology with mean particle size of about 40-80 nm in diameter and aspect ratio of about 14-16, which indicate that CTAB and PEG could be used as a soft template in synthesis of hydroxyapatite nanorods.
