Synthesis and characterization of epoxy-M.M.T nanocomposite coatings for corrosion protection of Al 5000

Epoxy-clay nanocomposites were synthesized using two montmorillonite(M.M.T)clays, cloisite15A, 20A and were studied as corrosion protection coatings for Al(5000) with varying clay contents (0.5,1,5,10wt.%). The purpose was to investigate the corrosion behaviour synthesized coatings in 3.5% NaCl solution and we investigate the electrical properties of nanocomposites and use Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) and morphology of them examined by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).
