Effect of surfactant PVP on codeposition of MoS2 nano-particles with electroless Ni-P coating

The effects of PVP surfactant on co-deposition of MoS2 nano-particles with electroless Ni-P coating have been investigated in this study. A stabilized well dispersed plating bath involved appropriate surfactant concentration is developed to produce nanocomposite coating with uniform nanoparticles distribution and smooth surface. Dependence of the deposition rate of the Ni-P matrix and MoS2 particles on the surfactant concentration and the concentration of MoS2 in coating were reported.
