چکیده مقاله:

Oil and gas companies have been modifying their policies to reduce their operational costs. Many studies have been conducted by researchers to enhance the total production revenue. One of the most important problems that affects operational costs is unwanted produced fluid specially water. This problem could cause shutting or reducing efficiency of the production wells and also decreases total revenue obtained of the filed. Therefore, a plenty number of technologies have been provided and examined. These researches did not include production system as an integrated network, and thus did not lead to precise conclusions. In this work, the application of smart wells for water production management were examined by using integrated production modeling. In this regard, each part of production system especially the smart completions were modeled separately by its own software. The results demonstrated that utilizing smart completions in production and injection tubing by IPM suit can decrease the produced water rates and increase the oil production rates sharply. Eventually, by studying the economical point of view, it was also found that employing the smart well instruments can result in a raise of the total production revenue substantially.
