Study of Null Subject in Persian Language on the Optimality Theory

Syntactic structures may be having empty categories. One of the categories is a null subject in contrast to the overt subject is placed in the output with the aim of study null subject in Persian. This research has done on the Optimality Theory (OT) that is constraint-based. The researcher has collected data by using field method and library studies. Since the optimality approach, contrasting constraints affect the selection of the optimal output. By taking full interpretation constraint and subject constraint the Persian sentences was analyzed and finally, it was determined that Persian language with violation of these constraints does not allow null subject to have phonetic presentation in output level in some syntactic constructions.
