چکیده مقاله:

There are some grammatical operations used in minimalist syntax for testing the hypotheses. The hypotheses are the tree diagrams proposed for the carefully and ideally collected sentences which are correct according to our intuition. One of the operations is cliticisation which does not function similarly in the English and Persian languages due to the structural or typological differences. In this regard, the writers have collected some data from Persian speakers in playwrights or people’s dialogues in radio or TV. We drew tree diagrams for the sentences and applied the operations of cliticisation to the terminal strings. The output was compared to its equivalent in English. The result of the comparison and contrast revealed that there are certain differences in cliticisation in the English and Persian languages. Regarding these differences we have suggested some pedagogical implications that enhance the process of language learning and teaching.
