چکیده مقاله:

The present study aimed to explore the effect of EFL learners lifestyle and their motivation in English learning , in a sample of 171 Iranian EFL intermediate male and female learners of Isfahan province(Golpaygan) English language institutes. The instruments used to collect the data included LSQ, ELMQ, andNelson Test (Series D 022). The collected data were codified and transferred into SPSS Software (Version 23), and were analyzed using descriptive statistics, an Independent T-Test Mann-Whitney Test, Spearman,Pearson, and Regression correlation coefficient. The results suggested that there was a low positiverelationship between the participants lifestyles and their English learning motivation. It was noted that therewas a low positive relationship between the EFL learners lifestyles and their English learning. However, there was a significant difference found between the English learning motivation level of male and femaleparticipants and also, there was a significant difference found between the English learning proficiency testscores of male and female Iranian in the present study. In sum the findings indicated that there was nosignificant relationship between EFL learners lifestyles and their English learning motivation, and suggested that gender had an important effect on English learning motivation, and English learning proficiency testscores, too. The results would contribute to methodology and syllabus design in particular, and as well as,could carry some pedagogical implications for SLA (Second Language Acquisition) researchers, language teachers in EFL contexts, and teacher educators
