Suggestion and Security Analysis of a Secure Collision Free DS/FH Hybrid Spread Spectrum System in the Presence of Follower Jammer and Eavesdropper

Spread spectrum, is the most common communication system against jammers. In this paper, a direct sequence/frequency hopping (DS/FH) hybrid spread spectrum system is suggested for high data rate transmission (eg, video) that in addition to being secure against enemy eavesdropping, it is resistant to follower jammer.In order to robust the system against enemy eavesdropping, instead of using common pseudorandom sequence generators for spreading data in direct sequence stage, a stream cipher is used. Stream cipher systems considered in this paper, are software based with appropriate throughput. Also in frequency hopping stage, to combat the follower jamming, a secure collision free frequency hopping pattern assignment method is suggested for two cases of synchronous and asynchronous network users. Finally, according to all possible cases it's shown that the reproduction of FH pattern (for follower jammer that do an exhaustive search) and then estimation of DS spreader (for eavesdropper) is computationally impractical.
