Cultural impacts of tourism in the Metropolis and surrounding towns (case study: Tabriz and Kandovan)

Always there is a consensus about the role of tourism and its influence on the culture of the host society. But there is a controversial between some experts about the role of tourism in metropolis and surrounded cities who many of them insist that the influences of tourism insurrounded cities have distinction with the metropolis. Despite of this assumption some experts reject it and believe that there is a strong relation between these two regions. According to this issue, in this study, we targeted two cities: Tabriz as the metropolis and Kandovan as thesurrounding town. Also, we consider seven indicators and parameters on these cities. Then the data which have been reached out from the static society, have been evaluated and eventually was found that except one indicators which hasn`t changed by tourism, most of the indicators have been changed by the tourism and there is not any different between the metropolis and surroundingcities. The result helps to reduce the disadvantage effects of tourism on host society`s culture and planners and the related authorities could trace the policy and route plan according to the metropolis and surrounding cities where have not any distinction as the comparison aspect
