چکیده مقاله:

Objective: The inhabitation effect on pathogenic bacteria of Catharanthus roseus (L.) crude water leaf extract through feed on growth and survival rate were investigated in improved extensive culture system of black tiger shrimp(Penaeus monodon). The primary objective of this study was to improve farm-made feed to increase survival rate and reduce water pollution. Method & Materials: Mean body weight , 0.02g larval shrimp (Pl-20-25) were cultured in four plots with duplicate for five months culture period at a rate of stocking density was 500 fry / plot (0.01 hectare). During the experiment the control ponds E1 were fed with normal diet feed (F-1) and the treated plot ponds E2, E3, E4 were fed with leaf extract coated formulated feed at the respective concentration of 50ml (F-2), 80ml (F-3), 100ml (F-4), per kilogram of feed. The survival, growth, health and the physiochemical parameters were check once a week interval. Results & Conclusion: According to the results, it can be assumed and suggested that the crude leaf extract has the best effect of disease preventation on Vibrio hervyi. After the experiment, mean survival and total harvest weight of duplicate plots in treated groups E2 (71% and 20000g) and E3 (74% and 21000g) were showed that the higher than treated group E1 (67% and 18500g) and control (65% and 17800g). However, there was no significant difference in body weight between control and all experiments. The results showed that the F4 diet was the best amongst three to support higher survival and the second most diet was F-3 diet. The results data of water quality parameter showed the ranges between the optimal requirement in all groups of experiment plots. Therefore, based on the results data, it may concluded that the different concentration of C. roseus crude leaf extract coated commercial diet feed may enhance the immune system to resist against the pathogenic bacteria and provided better survival of black tiger shrimp in grow-out production. Moreover, the crude leaf extract seemed to reduce the environmental stress and to make environmental friendly in culture system of black tiger shrimp.
