چکیده مقاله:

Objective: In this research, several bacterial agents, causative of fin rot syndrome in 2 aquarium fishes in Shiraz, were isolated using a variety of bacteriologic and biochemical tests. Method & Materials: Contaminated fishes were separated and then the contaminated region of fish tail was cut by sterile scissors and their culturing in 3 different media (blood agar, maccank and ordal) and incubated at 23 - 37 degree of centigrade for 24 - 72 hour. Results & Conclusion: the following result were obtained: Among 70 guppeis which were tested, 43.6% were contaminated with Flavobacter columnaris, 20.4% were contaminated with Aeromonas hydrophila and 15.6% were contaminated with Psudomonas florusenti, 10.4% were contaminated with Cytophaga like organism, 5% were contaminated with Psudomonas poietisia, 2.6% were contaminated with Psudomonas sobria and 2.4% were contaminated with Flavobacter branchifilium. Among 70 black mollies which were tested, 17% were contaminated with Flavobacter columnaris, 35% were contaminated with Aeromonas hydrophila and 24.2% were contaminated with Psudomonas florusenti, 6.3% were contaminated with Cytophaga like organism, 2.5% were contaminated with Psudomonas poietisia, 8% were contaminated with Psudomonas sobria and 7% were contaminated with Flavobacter branchifilium.
