Fuzzy based control application in active vibration control of structures

In this research, we studied the fuzzy logic control (FLC) for a multi degree of freedom structure with active tuned mass damper to reduce vibrations during an earthquakeexcitation. An eight-degree-of-freedom structural system is modeled with actuator that is installed on the first story and eighth story which has TMD. The system has subjected toElcentro earthquake vibrations. Mathematical model of building carried out in MATLAB. The result of the simulation showed a suitable performance by FLC earthquake vibrations.
