Design and Construction of Thin Film Nonostructural Vanadium Pentoxide V2O5 Gas Sensor

Thin films of vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) were grown on glass substrate using the spray pyrolysis method. The prepared films were placed in an electric circuit. The sensingcharacteristics of these films to ethanol vapors were studied. it was possible to find correlation between nanostructure andelectrical properties of the obtained material and to optimize conditions of its synthesis. The films were characterized by Xray photoelectron spectroscopy and Scanning electron microscope (SEM). It was found that, the film growth and gas response were strongly affected by the substrate temperature.
