Vienna Rectifier and B4 Inverter as PM WECS Grid Interface

this paper presents a new configuration for wind energy conversion system using Permanent synchronous generator (PMSG-based WECS via viennarectifier and three phase four switch inverter B4 the motivation of this work is the need for a low power cost effective topology for PMSG-based WECS.in this PMWECS, Vienna rectifier is used as generator -side cinverter and B4 inverter is employed as grid-side converter of WECS. This configuration has several advantageous compared to conventional back to back inverter such as low cost, high reliability and simple control system mainlybecause the number of active semiconductors in b4 is reduced and there is no shoot through possibility in vienna rectifier. In this paper, the effect of Vienna rectifier and B4inverter on WECS has been studied.simulation results validate the performance of the proposed topoloty
