In the present study, the attempt was performed to enhance propylene production yield of a methylacetylene-propadiene (MAPD) hydrogenation reactor of domestic olefin plant. Response surface methodology (RSM) by Minitab software was applied to investigate the effects of operating conditions (i.e. fresh feed flow rate, MAPD inlet concentration, the amount of diluent and hydrogen flow rates) on the propylene gain. A total of 192 experiments were selected according to multilevel factorial design and analysis of variance (ANOVA) was performed for each parameter. R2 values were obtained more than 0.95 and adjusted R2 were in a reasonable agreement with R2 values.
