چکیده مقاله:

Callosobruchus maculatus Pic. (Col,. Bruchidae) is a worldwide pest doing serious damages to the stored products such as vetch qualitatively and quantitatively.The present study focuses on the impact of microwave radiation on the pest with regard to various duration and powers. The pest was experimented in its different biological stages with the microvawe irradiation frequency of 22 HZ for different duration (11, 03, 03, 123,223, 063, seconds) and powers of 233 and 033 watt. After that the pest was placed inside an incubator with the temperature of 20 ,the relative humidity of 61±1 Cº And the photoperiod of 16 hours of light and 8 hours of darkness. The results showed rising duration increased the mortality rate and the larvae of last age are more vulnerable to the microwave irradiation in comparison to young larvae. The young larvae of Callosobruchus maculatus Pic. (Col,. Bruchidae) mortality rate respecting the duration and powers were as follow: (1) It was 80/78 where power was 033 watt and duration was 223 seconds. (2) It was 71/788 where 233 watt power was used during 063 seconds. the larvae of last age mortality rate respecting the duration and powers were as below : (1) It was 88 where power was 233 along with 123 seconds duration. (2) It was recorded 82/18 where power was233 watt during223seconds. It should be noted that the microwave radiations indicated no negative influence on seed viability.
