چکیده مقاله:

The concept of sustainable development was established in 4691s, following the two crucial international events, energy crises and global attention to the environment, and as a result, considering the major effects of built environment on the sustainable procedures, the sustainable construction attracted attentions. The formation of sustainability encouraged different industries to apply sustainable principles in their business activities. Therefore sustainable construction tries to apply the concept in the construction industry. Sustainable construction is a comprehensive process which tries to bring balance into natural environment and built environment and to create the settlements that pay attention to both human dignity and economic equality. One of the main standards of sustainability is protecting the earth and in the path toward this, the complex knowledge required, the unpredictable technological constraints that may arise, the huge investments needed, the conflicting economic and political interests that may appear and the social and environmental concerns show the intricate conditions that make any new project an important challenge for every country. Creating and managing the necessary knowledge for sustainable construction is one the most important challenges.Knowledge management processes is considered a main strategy that will help to learn from the past failure and success and turn the potential opportunities to actual improvements, so those issues that roots in knowledge gaps, could be responded more efficiently. On the other side, considering the importance of the initial phases of the project (feasibility study and planning), and high expenses and long term effects of errors during these phases, reducing the possibility of mistakes and using lessons learned may influence significantly on the project success. This research begins with studying the literature review and gaining the necessary information on basic concepts, and then it will provide a list of factors that influence the knowledge management and categorize them.at the second step, the expert opinions will be gathered through a questionnaire and analyzed. At the end, the factors will be prioritized based on their effects on the sustainable construction projects during the feasibility and planning phase.
