The zones in slope are particularly predisposed with the slip inarticular in seismic zones. The liability to deterioration of the ground, the action of water and the rehandling of the ground, the overload, the seismic forces are the principal factors. The devastator effect is more sensitive in the urban areas where it y’ has of human losses. If the drainage remains the obvious solution, its effectiveness is debatable in the very impermeable grounds moreover the filling of the drains always poses problems of maintance. Nailing by piles of large diameters can constitute a solution to fix the unstable masses on the substratum without altering the ground too much.
