چکیده مقاله:
This present study reviews empirical research on vocabulary learning in a second language vocabulary acquisition research in the linguistics tradition has largely concentrated on vocabulary rather than acquisition Meara.The vocabulary learning is dominant language acquisition, whether the language is a second or a foreign language, and crucial to the learners over all language acquisition. One of the notion is that a lot of unknown words, which learners encounter while reading could cause difficulties in processing the text. The students and teachers alike know that many of the reading comprehension breakdowns experienced by students involve word recognition and lexical access. Therefore, this review is attempt to broaden our knowledge of vocabulary and its relationship with reading comprehension performance. However the purpose of this research was to investigate the relationship between English vocabulary learning with reading comprehension English in pre-university level. We used in this research of the methods the silent way and the total physical response. After this, the researcher gave them the vocabulary test in order to find out the possible effects of treatment, English teachers, and practitioners can benefit from the finds of this can have implications for syllabus designers and teachers.
