چکیده مقاله:
In Information and communication technologies (ICT) have become commonplace entities in all aspects of life. Across the past twenty years the use of ICT has fundamentally changed the practices and procedures of nearly all forms of endeavor within business and governance. Education is a very socially oriented activity and quality education has traditionally been associated with strong teachers having high degrees of personal contact with learners. There are two different approaches about the impact of ICT on the educational system (and especially in Smart schools). Some believe that the effect of new technologies is simply the gradual and makes efficient transfer of the traditional school program and in fact, information access is faster. Another approach is that new information and communication technology in smart schools changes the education and tools substantially. In This view, information technology surpasses on the borders of traditional education system. This change should be step by step and with tact and thought. Smart school's new approach consists of a mixture of ICT with curriculum that brings about changes in teaching – learning process. There is an eclectic attitude in such schools along with using computer for teaching and learning. At the same time it activates the student's flexibility to be cooperative with the other learners to use ICT to be productive concerning the contents of teaching as well. As technology flows faster into the schools, many school leaders are facing a range of difficult management issues. This article discusses the potential use of ICT in smart schools and also issues related to ICT integration. In managing the use of ICT in smart schools some strategies are suggested and discussed for the school leaders to adhere to. This article focuses mainly on describing the role of ICT and its effect on the curriculum concerning smart schools .The method employed for this research is based on library, documents, sites and E-magazines.
