Due to the International Seminar on Contemporary Tourism and Humanism held in 1976, Tourism is an irreversible social, human, economic and cultural fact. This seminar outlines an approach to cultural tourism whose main object is the discovery of monuments and sites. However, may be its motivations and the ensuing benefits, cultural tourism cannot be considered separately from the negative, despoiling or destructive effects. The impacts of overloaded or low visitors presence on the safeguarding of historical monuments is one of the tourism affect that survey in this paper. The main question is that: What are the impacts of overloaded or low visitor's presence on the safeguarding of historical monuments? Experimental and quasi-experimental research method has been adopted as well as descriptive - analytic techniques to answer research questions. Isfahan Naqsh-e Jahan Square of Iran is the case study of the research. This square recorded as the world heritage in 1979. It has the majority of visitors in this city in Iranian Eve vacation and it has also some spaces that experience low visitor's presence in other time of the year. The paper concludes that asymmetric tourism has a meaningful impact on Vandalism thus is harmful for safeguarding of historical monuments
