چکیده مقاله:

The growth of worldwide different industries has led to an equal expansion in the use of synthetic dyestuffsmostly azo dyes, resultant in a rise in ecological pollution. Azo dyes are indicated as mutagenesis agents. Many proteinscan convert to stable β-sheet structure called nanofibrils. In this study, we comprised the effect of lysozyme andcrystalline nanofibrils to remove different Azo dyes. To characterize produced nanofibrils, they were examined withstandard methods including ThT fluorescence, fluorescence images and Atomic force microscopy(AFM). AFM, forexample, supported nano-dimension of these fibrils. Adding the nanofibrils from different sources to dyes indicatedunexpected different results. For example lysozyme could decolorization acid red114 completely but crystalline removedcrysolidin better than lysozyme. It seems that despite of similar fibrillar- structure, other factors like surface charges orunstructured regions of proteins participate in interaction with dyes. Based on the results, using different sources ofprotaneous nanofibrils for bioremediation might be economical and especially very eco-friendly.
