چکیده مقاله:
By the extension of utilizing Nano particles, addition of these types of particles to some poly‐electrolyteswith high molecular weights, which are common in paper manufacturing industry, has been considered extensively forthe purpose of improving drainage capabilities and at the same time increasing the retention time of fine particles andfillers. Despite of this, there is not sufficient knowledge regarding this phenomena and the independent functionalmechanism of this substance in relation with other variables. Cationic starch is a strengthening additive for paper in drystate and its effect on drainage capabilities and the retention time of soft particles and the fillers is not impressive byitself. For this reason, it can be concluded that by addition of Nano‐silica particles, in fact the interaction of cationicstarch and Anionic Nano‐silica particles can result in the improvement of drainage and retention capabilities. Thereviews of the present study show that utilization of cationic starch mixture and colloidal Nano‐silica particles has aconsiderable effect on the paper's strength properties.
