چکیده مقاله:

A special plasma catalyst preparation, which includes ultrasonic impregnation method followed by glow discharge plasma treatment and consequencecalcinations thermally, was used for synthesis of Pt/Al2O3–CeO2 nanocatalyst with Pt loading of 1%wt and ceria loading of 30%wt. The preparednanocatalyst was characterized by XRD, FESEM, BET and FTIR techniques, and its catalytic performance was evaluated by the catalytic oxidationof toluene. Based on the characterization results, plasma-ultrasound treatment endowed the sample with small nano particle ize. As a result, the adsorption properties were modified. The results of catalytic tests indicate that a low temperature catalytic activity and complete removal efficiency oftoluene with high stability was achieved over the glow discharge plasma treated ultrasonic catalyst. Therefore, the plasma treated ultrasonic impregnationmethod is leading to an excellent preparation of supported catalysts, esp., those for VOCs oxidation
