Especial Structure for SADRA Island DRY DOCK

Iran has more than 3000 km south shore border, in this manner there are a lit of port such as fishing port, oil tanker port and atc. But there were no any utility and facility for Big shipbuilding and repairing. SADAR (Iran Marine Industrial Co.) has started building a big Dry Dick for shipbuilding and repairing up to 150,000 tons DWT capacity. The plan of building of SADRA ISLAND Dry Dock is abut 2 years, and now it has abut 70% progress after 14 month. In addition, an other criterian governing the design is time duration of the dock construction which must be as short as possible, this constrainr being dependent on the delivery of a 20,000 tons DWT capacity floatover barge (FLB-124) (for south pars gas field development phase 1 project installation) actually built in this Dry Dock. The location of SADRA Dry Dock is near Bousher port on the Persian Golf, which has been celected regarding the transportation network of the region. It is built in the SADRA Industrial Island, which is separated from the land by channel about 500m with and 5m to 10 m deep.
