خلاصه مقاله:
Tidal rivers are important water bodies in coastal regions which are main water resources in these areas. In addition to the usual pollutant sources, salinity intrusion from sea-water, decreases the quality of water in tidal rivers. In order to consider appropriate management policies, computer models are widely used in the simulation of water quality in these rivers. Although three- as well as two-dimensional models are used for these water systems, it is well established that reasonably accurate simulation of water quality can be achieved by using onedimensional models in relatively narrow sea-river systems. Over the past decades various computer models for the simulation of tidal rivers and other coastal water bodies are developed. Notable one-dimensional studies have been carried out by Harleman et al. [7] and Nassehi et al.[5],[8], etc. This paper is devoted to the description of a new numerical model integrating flow hydrodynamics and salinity distribution.
