Action Recognition and Methods Evaluation in Computer Vision

Vision is the most advanced and the most important sense out of five senses that plays a unique role in human perception. Human beings receive extensive information about their environment through sense of sight. Accordingly, man has always tried to build devices that can perceive their environment through vision and can extract information about it. Computer vision is the most active field of research in the field of vision that its ultimate goal is to reach human perception. In this section, all effort has been placed on providing a brief introduction of the research area of human action recognition in the field of computer vision. Next, applications and datasets of this research area will be explained. The general structure of action recognition methods and suggestions make up the last part of this proposal.
