Application of Tourism Plans as a Practical Approach for Sustainable Development (Case study: Agrotourism projects in South Khorasan Province, Iran)

This study aims to provide a mechanism that helps to sustainable development process, especially countries are suffering from sanction like Iran, through implementation of tourism plans. In this research, after recognition of the unique products in the study area, needed strategies for economic development through involvement of all participants within the agrotourism project are investigated. The results of this research revealed that agrotourism project with participation of local communities is able to create more than 50 job positions, directly and 115 job opportunities, indirectly. Along the local benefits of such projects, such as job creation, inverse migration, security statement, land conservation, etc., such project boosts the foreign exchange system of the country through the attraction of the international tourists. Because the western countries are not able to force their people to prevent from travelling to the country and hamper them from purchasing the local productions of the our entrepreneurs
