Automatic speed control system using GPS and RFID technology

With regard to the number of road accidents and Authorities report violation of speed limit by drivers is one of the most important factors of road events in Iran, which cause financial and social damages every year. In this article we aim to reduce this costs and also propose a profitable business by introducing system which named automatic speed control system . The function of system is as follows: When cars enters to the tollgate, plate reader system reads vehicle plate number automatically and registers car’s identification to module’s RFID tag. Then tollgate operator gives module to car’s driver. After passing the car from Road and at next tollgate, driver gives the module back to operator. During driving between two tollgate, module senses car’s speed continuously and if any violation of speed limit happens the module will save information of offending vehicle consist of position, Speed, or other predefine data automatically in RFID tag.
