Chance Constrained Programming Models for System Reliability Fulltext

The risk level coupled with a probabilistic constraint is a vital parameter for computing the reliability of a system working with multiple components and probability of failure. Knowing that all probabilistic constraints are not of the joint chance constrained type then systems eliability can be defined as a product of the reliability of individual constraints. After problem description, it is shown that how one can convert the stochastic model into the equivalent deterministic form having known distribution function. However, three distinct mathematical programming models together with their solution procedures are described. Solution methodologies are also discussed.
