Investigating improving pedestrian safety strategies through lighting equipment and reflectance of light in urban passages

In the field of transport and especially pedestrians the design will be discussed in two aspects that the first one is efficiency and second is safety. Now the question arises is whether the lighting design and its technical parameters would review the second aspect or not that means in addition to landscaping with lightening whether the safety issue and aspect are also assed or not. Regarding that Over 10% of the driving errors caused by driver`s poor vision at night; Therefore, in order to increase the range of sight of the driver and improve road lighting two issue of road lining and the amount of reflected light and also vehicle lighting systems should be essentially considered. In this research the main strategies such as drivers warning lights of pedestrian crossing and Smart flash lighting and warning system of pedestrian crosswalk pavement and light reflective vests and etc were evaluated. The graph shows that reducing reaction of vehicle speed when facing and after installing the new lighting systems, including LED lamps of pedestrian crosswalks will occur.
