چکیده مقاله:

The purpose of the present work was to prepare ceramic particles from corn cob and convert it to the submicron nanostructure particles by means of milling. Initially, received corn cob ash was calcined at 800 °C for 3 hours to remove the impurities of the sample. The characterization of the ash was carried outby particle size distribution analysis and scanning electron microscopy. Next, the thermally treated corn cob ash was milled in different times to get the submicron particles. The size of the crystals was characterized by x-ray difraction (XRD) analysis. From the results the average size of particles after 20 hours milling became about 704 nm (submicron) and the crystals were in the nano scale but the particles became larger with time.
