In this paper the influence of available and economic additives in Iran was invcsrigated as a protective measurc against the corrosion of reintorcement in concrete. The sclccted additives were concrete adhesive, waterproof, and air-entraining agent. The effect of epoxy coatings was also investigated. The mating of the reinforcement steel with paint hcfore emhcdding in . concrete Muck was not protective, but extcrnal coating of the concrete block showed the most effective corrosion protection comparatively.
