More Accurate Welltesting Using Production Logging Tool

Production Logging is carried out to provide data principally for production monitoring and well diagnostics. Also transient testing data recorded by production logging tool can help to better understand pressure response behavior and also estimate dynamic reservoir properties. In pressure build-up and pressure drawdown tests using production logging tool, not only downhole pressure, but also downhole flow rate and downhole fluid density are recorded. Therefore more reliable welltest interpretation specifically in multi-phase producing wells can be performed and more information can be obtained from reservoir.This paper shows application of production logging tool in welltesting in order to have more reliable interpretation results and also accurate estimation of dynamic reservoir properties in oil and gas wells
