The Relationship Between Energy and Security in the Persian Gulf

The beginning of industrial development of oil deposits, huge scales of extraction, processing and export of hydro- carbonic raw material have considerably increased the role of Persian Gulf as one of the major sources of hydro- carbonic raw material in the 20th century. Moreover, in the 21st century it is possible to confirm with confidence that the Persian Gulf region is one of bearing constructions of modern system of the international relations. In conditions of transformation of the bipolar world, rooting of new models and other valuable reference points in consciousness of hundreds thousand people the Persian Gulf, being one of the most vulnerable points of again formed system of the international security, tests extreme overloads and oil- consuming countries have included the region in the sphere of their vital interests. Contradictions arising in this region directly influence all participants of the process of security and their practical consequences touch all mankind. The balance of forces inside of the region is not fixed by any normative- legal act that allows keeping significant interregional potential of conflictness.
