چکیده مقاله:

There is presumption in today’s construction industry that selecting the appropriate project delivery system ( PDS) will inevitably lead to a successful project outcome. Today there are different types of delivery system available to choose for a project. We propose a new method in which the risks of each project delivery system are assessed, and then the most appropriate delivery system with lowest risks importance will be chosen. Furthermore, the usage of analytic network process ( ANP) in project delivery system selection is developed and the application of the new model has been demonstrated through an illustrated example in a case study. However, the differences between contractor and client viewpoints may cause choosing an appropriate and low risk delivery system with their perspective not project goals. Therefore, we assume the purpose behind a project delivery system is to create a cooperative project organization, in which all participants, clients and contractors, are motivated to achieve common objectives. The model aim to eliminate judgmental approaches to delivery system selection in favor of mechanistic view of whole process.
