چکیده مقاله:
In this paper the unsteady behaviour of exhaust gases emerging from internal combustion engines within the context of expansion chamber acoustics is investigated. The chamber is analysed consid-ering SPL (Sound Pressure Level) and noise reduction. Pressure distributions are obtained by the aid of FFT analysis. LES turbulence model was solved for more accuracy and small fluctuations. The numerical results reveal that noise reduction has no direct relation with the increasing or de-creasing size of expansion chamber. At Statistical study for L = 15 the noise reduction is greater than the other size of L.
