Introducing The New Duplex Scanners And Theirs Capabilities In Providing And Displaying Ultrasonic B-mode And Doppler Blood Flow Data, Simultaneously In Real Time

Duplex scanners, are new color Doppler flow imaging systems which have the capabilities of displaying ultrasonic B-mode and Doppler flow data simultaneously in real time. The above mentioned process is explained in some details in this paper. Concerning this, some related items such as: the basic concept of Color Doppler Flow Imaging (CDFI) systems, pulsed Doppler instruments, blood flow data, ultrasonic B-mode real time imaging, fast algorithm (i.e. Wiener-Khinchine), power spectrum, autocorrelation function, several shortcomings of color Doppler, and so on are briefly described. In addition, some other related subjects, namely: color Doppler power imaging and its advantages, timedomain flow estimation, blood flow estimation in time domain using cross-correlation, and their advantages, elasticity imaging and its dynamic and static approaches are also explained in this paper.
