چکیده مقاله:

In this paper in order to enhance the oxidation resistance of graphite, C/SiC-NanoSiC graded coating was prepared by infiltration method at 1773 K and 1873 K under argon atmosphere. Anti-oxidation behavior of coatings, was investigated by isothermal oxidation test at 1773 K for 8 hours. The results of microstructural characterization showed with increasing the infiltration temperature continuity of the coating enhanced. Furthermore, with decreasing the infiltration temperature, transition layer thickness increased. Based on the results obtained from the isothermal oxidation test at 1773 K for 8 h, heat treated coatings at 1773 K and 1873 K showed 1.5 and 1.4 weight loss percentage respectively. In other words, increasing the infiltration temperature will result in enhancement of oxidation resistance of C/SiC-NanoSiC coating.
