چکیده مقاله:

Spectrophotometry is one of the most powerful methods for the investigation of solution equilibria, although potentiometric pH titrations are more convenient and more commonly used due to the simplicity of equipment and minimal time requirements. However, potentiometry is useful only for determining equilibria in the approximate pH range of 2.5-11, whereas spectrophotometric titrations are not limited to any pH range. In contrast to potentiometric titrations, where only equilibrium constants are produced, spectrophotometric titrations also yield additional spectral information about the species formed during the titration. This supports a structural analysis of the compounds. Spectrophotometric titrations are also useful in discriminating between different equilibrium models.
