چکیده مقاله:

Routing protocols are classified as static and dynamic Protocols. IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF are well known dynamic routing protocol that are used in infrastructure based networks in order to construct routing tables and transport information between adjacent routers. The selection of such protocols depends on many parameters such as network time convergence, scalability, memory and processing requirements, security and bandwidth requirements.In this paper, we present a simulation based comparative performance analysis between OSPF, EIGRP and IGRP for real time applications using OPNET. The evaluation is done based on special aspects that are video traffic in network convergence duration, traffic dropped, CPU utilization parameters. Our results show that EIGRP is the best in this parameter.
