Performance evaluation for high schools using Data Envelopment Analysis

چکیده مقاله:

The condary education system is no than exception. The purpose of the evaluation is a processby which employees in certain interval sand formal systems are evaluated. Identifying good employees and dynamic systems, rewarding and motivating them to improve their performance(people and systems) is a major cause of performance evaluation. Therefore, evaluation of performance of a process is strategically important. Quality and effectiveness of the management and its performance is one of the critical factors to realize the development and welfare of society. In recent three decades, several models are developed and provided for educational evaluation which one of the best of them is DEA that is based on operations research.These models consider series of educational research and service activities as input and output parameters. And according to the importance and influence of each of the variables in the body of the on, the ratio of weighted sum of outputs to the weighted sum of inputs as the efficiency of DMU is calculated.In this paper, using data envelopment analysis, efficiency of 15 educational units in secondary school in District 5 has been evaluated. The calculations have been carried in the case of constant returns to scale and variable returns to scale. The results of calculation show the performance of 15 high schools in which seven of them are inefficient and the other eight units are efficient. Ranking the high schools has been done in this paper and the weakness and strength point of the units and the status of their use of the resources has been expressed.
