The Impact of Iranian Subsidiary Targeted Plan on Inflation Growth

The impacts of subsidiary targeted policy can be investigated from two different perspectives.First, it can be investigated in terms of the way it affects inflation rate based on the realities ofthe Iranian economy. Second, the inflation theories of some Iranian economists who havebeen emphasizing on cost pressure inflation.One of the most important costs of enforcing the subsidiary targeted law, which had provokedconsiderable controversies prior to its enforcement, was the inflation-related costs. Prior toenforcing the law, virtually all economic experts and policy-makers had accepted theinflation-related impacts of enforcing this law, however what was seriously controversial wasthe extent of this impact on prices and inflation. In the present study, the inflation caused bythe subsidiary targeted plan is more accurately investigated.
