Effect of static magnetic field on heat transfer of nanofluids with temperature-dependent viscosity

چکیده مقاله:

This study focuses on one of most important application of nanofluid and deals with convective heat transfer of nanofluid flow through horizontal pipe. Discussed nanofluid contains nano-particle of magnetite (Fe3O2) which dispersed homogenously in the base fluid. These particles bring nanofluid an ability to respond withmagnetic field. Also for being better representation of reality, viscosity of nanofluid varies with tempe rature suchthat increasing temperature results in decreasing viscosity. Constant heat flux as well as constant transverse magnetic field perpendicular to the fluid flow applied to the pipe. It is considered an initial length at which pipe wall is in constant temperature such that heat flux and magnetic field is exerted thereafter. Also partially filled porous media is located concentric to pipe. It is assumed that porous media is homogenous. Finally it is concluded that porous media by its own can increase Nusselt number by more than 60 % and magnetic flux density of 2 Tesla increase Nusselt number by more than 30 %. Also it is found that simultaneous effect of magnetic field and porous media causes to increase Nusselt number by 66.3 percent .
