Recent demands in electrical industries for heat exchangers with higher performance have sparked new interests toward optimization of Fan-Heat sink counter actions. Unlike similar efforts which mainly focus on heat transfer principles, current study is aimed to enhance performance of a sample heat sink by concentrating on delicate behaviors of turbo machines. In present investigation a set of conventional warm fins were planted on outlet chamber of a conventional centrifugal fan to study effects of the specific outflow on heat transfer characteristics of the fins. The study was based on numericalmeans to acquire data from the models. K-ε: R.N.G. model was utilized through ANSYS Fluent commercial software package to analyze aerodynamic behavior o f the designed centrifugal fan. The numerical method was validated by modeling a sample from one of the study’s’ references and comparingnumerical outcomes with experimental data. Results of this study demonstrated that the use of heat sinks in proper positions on well -designed centrifugal fanscan improve heat transfer rate by 8 percent. Furthermore, the use of a proper heat sink can improve thequality of centrifugal fan. Another interesting result of this study was that it provided a comprehensive concept about variance of heat transfer capabilities of fins in different horizontal locations in outflow chamber of the centrifugal fan.
