This work present static and free vibration analyses of composite plates reinforced by single-walled carbon nanotubes using the three dimensional theory of elasticity. The SWCNT reinforcement is either uniformly distributed (UD) or functionally graded (FG) in the thickness direction which, are specified as FG-V, FG-O and FG-X. In the present study the effective material properties of CNTRC plates, estimated according to the rule of mixture and considering the CNT efficiency parameters. By using Fourier series expansion along the in plane directions and state space technique across the thickness direction closed form solution is derived. The influences types of distributions of carbon nanotubes in the polymer matrix in the behaviour of plate are investigated. In addition, the influences of the width-to-thickness ratios and edges static behaviour of the CNTRC plate will be discussed. Numerical examples are calculated by an analytical solution and the results show good agreement with the solutions obtained by the FEM solution in literature[6].
